The Proteomics research team of Prof. Erich Wanker, MDC Berlin, contracted arivis to develop a High-throughput screening (HTS) solution that supports automatic, high efficient acquiring and analyzing of images to detect Y2H protein-protein interactions.
The arivis Browser as a modular and expandable software provides the basis for the workflow inplementation called „Yeast Analysis“.
The objective of this development is to substitute the conventional process of manually gaining and analyzing images of yeast plates by an automated batch analysis.
The first part of the development consists of an automated workflow for 96 and 384 well plates (agar/membrane) that supports plate detection, the adding of a visual grid, the clustering related to size and intensity, an automatic analysis, and the export of the results to Excel.
The second part aims to expand and evaluate the workflow for the 1536 well plates (agar/membrane) which includes a fully automated image analysis that guarantees a very high throughput of plates as aspired by the MDC Berlin.
The workflow "Yeast Analysis" is implemented as a plugin for the arivis Browser. Thus the user has access to the numerous functions of the arivis Broswer.
