» solution for confocal laserscanning microscopy

Using high-resolution image capture devices in the neurosciences makes it possible to gain a huge number of new insights into the structure-functional relations of the central nervous system and his dysfunctions occuring in the context of neurodegenerative diseases.

Nowadays latest image capture devices (e.g. confocal laser scan microscopes) acquire high-resolution, n-dimensional image stacks. After mounting single image data stacks into a whole image data stack the neuro-scientist is able to visualize and analyze therefore larger, coherent areas receiving the highest possible cellular resolution.

As for the neuro-scientist, the main problem consists in accepting a compromise if Imaging Software is limited in terms of supply, the management, the visualization and the analysis of large, n-dimensional image datasets.

Arivis has solved this main problem of the neuro scientists and has developed with the arivis browser a product which also provides individual solutions with its modules.

The biological studies of Prof. Dr. Dr. Pahnke, Rostock NRL, require the analysis of digital, super-high-resolution images of specimens. Until now, no software has been able to visualize entire specimens and to analyze them simultaneously without restriction.
The arivis team was given the task to quickly create a solution for an automated object recognition and detection, quantification, classification and analysis of differently colored Alzheimer's disease-relevant proteins and the resulting deposits.

Visualize the possibility of unlimited large image data via internet / intranet, while didactic process in the context of the teaching content and present is the focus of interest of many educational institutions of pathology.

In a joint project of arivis, Net-eK Base computer and network technology and with the support of Carl Zeiss MicroImaging GmbH, the e-learning platform mirax@netbase was developed, which is used at several university teaching centers and stands there for a modern contemporary teaching.

The high-performance visualization, editing, annotation and presentation of digital slides with the arivis WebView is the core piece of this online application.

In the course of the expansion of its commercial services, WetterOnline, one of Germany’s major weather information providers, has expanded its application with the visualization of live weather data.
arivis was given the task to realize this new concept.
Once more, the professional know-how and the advanced technology of arivis could be utilized.

In an interactive temporal web representation, high resolution and live weather data throughout Europe (clouds, rain or thunderstorms) are combined and visualized together with topographical and orographical data (watercourses, countries and cities).
The application includes weather data from the previous 48 hours and is updated every 15 minutes. Thus the user can explore the weather activity interactively and temporally while choosing between six layers (clouds, rain, lightning, rivers, frontiers, and cities).
Applying arivis technology ensures that the application works in common web browsers without additional installations or plugins.
