arivis presents the new arivis WebView at the Zeiss-Mirax Workshop

On May 14, 2009, a workshop on the topic "Virtual microscopy and digital image analysis in the medical research and training" is organized in the Carl Zeiss MicroImaging application center in Munich. Besides the new arivis WebView, arivis presents examples for the analysis of large image slides.

The arivis WebView plays a central role in an "e-Learning management System" of the pathological training platforms at TU Munich, LMU Munich, University of Freiburg and the University Hospital Tübingen.

Due to their maximum dissolution, the image slides of pathological cuts produced by the Mirax system fill up several Gbytes. After the conversion into the highly efficient arivis format, the material is visualized by the arivis WebView and will be online available for students and staff.

With the help of the arivis WebView, it is now easy to develop a didactically highly efficient class management, supported by the possibility to integrate mutual interaction, slide-based assignments and tests.

In addition to the presentation of the new arivis WebView, the company presents examples for the analysis of large image slides with the arivis Browser.
