arivis at DZG workshop „3D Visualization and Analysis“

From September 21 to 25, 2010, the Fachgruppe Morphologie from the German Zoological Society is organizing a workshop on the topic “3D Visualization and Analysis” at the BioZentrum Grindel and Zoological Museum, Hamburg.

Key points of the workshop are the introduction to and the basics of 3D visualization for surface and volume data, volume rendering and comparing of data sources (e.g. CT, histology, surface scans). An introduction to the work with software packages is planned as well as a visit of the GKSS research center at the DESY, Hamburg, where an experiment arrangement and a project example with μCT data are demonstrated.
During this workshop, arivis will have to opportunity to present the arivis Browser.
Afterwards, we give all workshop participants the chance to test our software with their own image data.
