Annotated multi-gigabyte 2D/3D-Images in a Web Application

The arivis WebView is our server-based and modular web application for visualizing and interactive processing of very large image data at the Internet/ Intranet. Multichannel image data of almost unlimited size and with a random number of planes and frames can now be visualized and processed with a common web browser in 2D and 3D- completely without the need to install additional software or web browser plugins.

First of its kind: 3D-Volume Rendering in a web browser using WebGL

Using the new WebGL technology, arivis WebView can render interactive 3D data fast and at high quality in a standard web browser. Since this is a standard compliant solution, the 3D technology can be implemented in any web applications and interact with already existing systems.

In order to ensure an optimal visualization result, internet browsers Chrome resp. Firefox should be run with special WebGL options as we describe below
