arivis WebView 3.0 with 3D-Rendering in Web Browsers

With arivis WebView 3D, we complemented the previously available 2D-rendering of arivis WebView by a third dimension. Using the new WebGL technology, we can render interactive 3D data fast and at high quality in a standard web browser. Since this is a standard compliant solution, the 3D technology can be implemented in any web applications and interact with already existing systems. Therewith, a variety of user scenarios arise for training courses, project work or for the presentation of large image data.

Federal Ministry of Education and Research supports research project ROSAge

The Federal Ministry of Education and Research BMBF supports the ROSAge project, “Reactive oxygen species and the dynamics of ageing", where researchers trace the phenomenon of ageing. The project is realized within the Gerontosys program.
A number of partners are working together in this project, among them research teams from the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Informatics and Electrical Engineering from Rostock University, researchers from Leipzig and Lübeck and, as industrial partners from Rostock, the companies Bionas GmbH and arivis GmbH.

arivis shares arivis ImageCore data format & library

arivis has decided to open the structure and description of the arivis ImageCore data format to interested users. This technology, which has been developed and refined since 1997 at the Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics (IGD), uses a redundancy free storage technique that allows random access to arbitrary image regions at any zoom and constant time.
